Reporting
Our unique and objective report writing, analytical and attribution capabilities empower investors and decision makers to fulfill their fiduciary roles by making informed and timely decisions. We provide full and fair disclosure of any investment results to investors, guaranteeing that all investment managers or products are assessed on a level and objective playing field. Our quantitative analyses and reporting tools empower investors to:

  • audit the success of their existing long-term investment policy and strategy as well as the investment structure and profile implemented;
  • revise or define investment and risk guidelines of current or potential investment mandates or solutions which investors have implemented or wish to implement as part of the investment policy and strategy;
  • define a quantitative framework, including detailed holdings based attribution analyses, to screen and help investors select suitable investment managers or products;
  • obtain from us detailed quantitative due diligence and performance attribution reports on the shortlisted investment managers and products. We believe our tools will increase the probability of identifying investment managers and products that can meet investors' expectations with greater certainty over the long term;
  • objectively define an investment fee structure that aligns the investor and the investment manager's interest;
  • optimally blend investment manager mandates (if segregated) or products via our quantitative optimisation techniques;
    set meaningful benchmarks, reasonable performance targets and clear risk guidelines for the selected investment manager mandates (if segregated);
  • quantitatively and continually monitor, assess and compare the composite portfolio or total retirement fund as well as the selected investment managers, mandates or products to customised and clearly defined benchmarks, performance targets and risk guidelines;
  • implement a dynamic risk management and monitoring framework to increase risk transparency.

Transition Management
Assets are often on the move. Asset allocation changes and rebalancing might need to be implemented, a new investment strategy needs to be implemented or assets need to be moved from one investment manager to another. Essentially transition management is the professional management of the entire process of moving assets while controlling for the important risks during the process.

The success of any transition is the ability to integrate skilled execution and risk management. We assist our clients to:

  • select a skillful stockbroker (or multiple stock brokers) to execute the transactions and to thereafter implement a best practice mandate as well as negotiate the execution fees on behalf of our clients;
  • define the transition plan (called a pre-trade report) and timeline in conjunction with our client and the selected stockbroker/s;
  • actively monitor the stockbroker in terms of the implementation and execution of the transition plan; and
  • report back to our clients in terms of the success of the transition (called a post-trade report).
